I gave up on trying to find .380..... I have a few boxes stashed for the Bersa, but went to a PM9 since I have no problem with 9mm.... Plus the PM9 is smaller than my Bersa .380.

"Supposedly" Cabelas {On Indianapolis Blvd} has some coming in towards the end of the month, but I would not hold my breath.....

Woof

I was able to pick up a few 250rd boxes of Rem 9mm about a month ago at Walmart for ~$50 each.

I also see the 100rd boxes of Win for ~$20 at Walmart. I see the dealers at the gun show selling them for $50. I think they buy them all up to resell.

I never see any .380 at Walmart, and they want too much at the gun show.

I ordered 500 rounds of Winchester .380 target rounds from Cabelas back in June, still nothing! When I ordered it back then, the projected wait time was "0-1 week" for shipment ...., like I said...that was June.

But, it will settle down eventually. 6 months ago, I couldn't find a box of .45 or 9mm ammo to save my life, now most local stores have plenty. People did the crazy hoarding and depleted the market right around the time of the election, and then backordered from all of the major suppliers...so it took a while for them to catch up and get some re-stocked back at the stores. The same thing has happened with .380, but it is even worse because of the recent explosion of sub compact pistols chambered in this round...I picked up one myself (stainless sig 232). Eventually it will be available, but I want to go shooting now!!! lol

The cabela's I was at yesterday in Kansas City was stacked with .380, heck they were stacked with everything but the prices are too high, everyone was looking but no one was buying except for the deer hunters buying their 20rd. box of ammunition for deer season

Must be nice...I live 15 minutes away from the Cabelas in Dundee, MI and they haven't had any .380 in longer than I can remember. They are finally getting some other calibers back in stock, but still no .380.

Nope. You can't eat ammunition and it won't keep you warm in the winter so if the SHTF the price of ammunition will collapse as the market is flooded with it. People will sell it to buy necessities. There is such an overstock of ammunition the price is bound to collapse within a decade.

And even under a scenario of civil unrest, most americans will not stand for someone using firepower to get food and warmth and those who do will be so outnumbered they will be dealt with quickly. And there will still be an overstock of ammunition.
