Coyotes kill woman in Cape Breton

Yikes, poor girl probably didn't even know they were there untill they attacked??

When I hike with my family up north I always carry a rifle with me. You never know what you might encounter.

Heres the news article: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia...tack-died.html

Up north?
I came face to face with a big one last month.
I'm mid-Atlantic state on the east coast (VA).
Less than half mile to the ocean.

We have them all over the place here in Louisiana. Never heard of one attacking someone here, but they will attack your pets. They will run from a human. But if the person was a small child, I would think it would if it wasn't in the opening. It's legal here to kill them.

Our black bear population is pretty high here and they have been getting very bold. I never really gave much thought a coyote before. I was more worried out Timber Wolves. Thoses b@rtards are HUGE! I saw two big ones last year deer hunting but didn't get my camera out in time before they jogged off.

You can shoot anything here on the spot if its self defence. You just have to report it to the Ministry of Natural Resources.

We have them here as well and I have never heard of them attacking a human before either but she was by her self and not paying attention I could see them attacking. When I am in the wood I always have a weapon with me.

They roam the golf courses here. They never let anyone close. I see one occasionally crossing the road on the way home. The biggest threat is to small pets.

FTW? I always get confused when things like this happen. If I ain't got a gun I got legs and a fist -- For a coyote.

There are panthers and wildcats here, some of a witches sound horrendous like a woman getting killed when they scream.

Yep. Couple of years ago here in West Monroe, people started reporting there small pets that was left outside was coming up missing. At first, the police department tought someone was stealing them. But found out later, that coyotes was catching them. So they started setting out traps to catch they.

If they are in a pack you don't stand a chance. My friend I were working on his deer blind and had a pack circle us from that point we didn't go out there with out a shot gun and rifle. The camp is about 3 miles off the highway and we were 2 miles into the woods behind his camp.

We also have a brush dog problem (basically wild scruffy and ugly house dog)
when were deer hunting, out camp rule is shoot sight on scene. They are murderous thieves! Not to be confused with wolfs. Big difference.

There are all over here. VERY thick. I shot this one with my bow a few years ago. It was with two others.

We also have a big bobcat population. Now people are reporting cougars pretty regularly.

remember -- I'm 6'6" 250lbs. That cat is pretty big.

Beautiful mounts. I am hoping to get some time next spring and get in on some of the predator hunts that go on here in Michigan.

Thanks man. I was actually deer hunting on both kills.

I've never had any luck when actually hunting for coyotes! (though I have't tried much either)
