Amazing internets

So I called my provider today (Verizon FiOS), and asked if I could restructure my plan to save money, and they knocked $40 off my bill in exchange for renewing my contract for a year, plus they threw in an internet speed upgrade. These speed wars between ISP's is really hooking us up! Now, if only we can get F150online to download this fast:

Good to know they are dealing.

Has anyone succesfully re-negotiated with Brighthouse aka Tim Warner/ Roadrunner cable?

I've had them for about 8 years and would love to be able to save $40/month by threatening to leave.

When I had *** Communications Cable I paid 40 a month for 12mb/s with up to 20mb power boost. I would d/l at like 1.5mb/s... It was beautiful

And 3mb up.

It was insane speed.

I'm stuck with 3m down/512k up AT&T DSL for 30 bucks a month. The cable company here sucks *****. I'm patiently waiting for UVerse.

Sat is like ISDN. About 128kbs a sec if youre lucky on a no wind, no cloudy day.

Not worth it. Set up is expensive, its expensive. Blah.

i have the same type of internet i say stick with and your arnt getting gouged its cost more probably cause its a smaller company that only caters to a small area

that the way mine is its either that or there is satellite or dial up
satelites latency was just STUPID when we had that that is why we switched

What I love most about it is the stability. Yes, it's fast, but it's also rock solid. Every time I test I get the same speed - that which I pay for. Prior to yesterday, I was getting 20/5, and it ALWAYS tested at those speeds. Now, I pay for 25/15, and once again, that's exactly what I get (or more). The whole package came out to $145/month for the internet, TV package with Showtime (Dexter FTW), 2 dvr's, a 3rd digital box, and a voice line with unlimited calling (NOT VOIP). It's the DVR's that get the price up there, but I can't live without them, so I don't mind paying.

I would love fios, but right now im stuck with wireless from a local company. 3mps down and .5mps up actual tested speed for 28$ a month. Not a bad deal but I would love more speed.

Have UVerse at work, and it is fast! For our company, it is only $77 per month. Out in the country where I live, the options are Sat or dialup. The dial up sucks, but it is only $10 a month. LOL
