Help me pick my Business Name!!

Ok, So currently I am self-employed. I do home Improvement work( decks, fences, windows, flooring, etc, Along with some smaller type handyman stuff to fill in the gaps.)

I am in need for a change in direction that I want to go. I have always wanted to get more into lawn/ property service....And I feel NOW is the time for me to do it..

But I need some help with coming up with a name. I think I am over thinking the whole idea, as a name should be short and kind of catchy and I feel I am trying to including everything I do in the name. Ex. If I have just lawn in my name people would over look me for sprinkler work....and so on.

What I would be doing...

Lawn mowing
Fertilizing
Edging
gen. Property care
hedge trimming
mulching
fall/spring clean ups
gutter clean out
aeration

sprinkler winterizing/ spring start ups
repair

What I have come up with so far...

Northern Lawn and property care
Northern Lawn and property service

Northern property care

Northern exposure

As you can see I like northern to be a part of it....I was thinking northland but I think northern flows better.

Any insight will be great
Thanks guys

From the curb to the gutter, we got your property covered.

Small fee assessed for this service, LOL.

Go with the fencing first and call it " Northern "A" hole Drilling" You will be remembered. You can make a full time job drilling and setting posts for the guy that can do the rest himself.

Of what you listed, I like Northern Property Care the best. It covers a lot of ground and lets you be flexible.

Maybe there are some other play on words you can make with your name...but you did not tell us what it is.

Whatever the name is, it should begin with the letter "A" this way it will be first in the phone book. You don't wanna be on page 12 of the lawn care section.

How looks in the phone book to find someone to cut their grass?
the majority of your business will come from word of mouth and from going door to door and making offers.

I have at least 5 friends that do this. and if you want to make money at it... it is in doing sprinkler systems, landscaping and commercial contracts.

The best name I have seen is "A Simpler Cut" simpler is his last name.

So it just has to be a catchy name that is easy to remember.

Blackjack, where are you at in MN? If you are looking to get into lawn care and irrigation along with fert, I can give you some tips on getting started, bidding, etc. I work for a big turf, fertilizer, and landscape supply company out of Minneapolis, but we cover most all of the state. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

No ideas from me, but definitely get something with a catchy slogan. I saw a guy driving a van today representing a business that repairs air conditioners. On the back it said "The secret weapon in the cold war."
