'09 Platinum price from dealer

Hello
New b here. First post and I've been researching. This will be my first Ford, first full size crew if I choose to deal with the given numbers.

so, what do you think on this offer - (of note the sales guy has been great for 3 weeks - no pressure, I've driven 4 trucks keeping them all day and there has been no pressure to get me to write a deal)

so, MSRP, 49085 - Platinum, Nav, 3.73 ls, moonroof, max trailer tow, pwr trailer mirrors, 5.4FFV (is this the flex fuel ver?) mudflaps, bed liner, bug shield (dealer add-on)

Dealer is down to 37k plus ttl.

What do you think? I'm planning to offer 36500 with the bed extender.

Thoughts? many thanks in advance.

I built a XTR package with extras that lists at $47344.00 MSRP. I have the dealer at $9200.00 off and thought it was pretty good. No where near where you are. I am ordering Monday. I may have to rethink the deal.

I would jump on that price for a new platinum, and yes the FFV means its the flex fuel version, but all 5.4's in the 09-10 150's are FFV.

Thanks for the info. Dealer came back at 36500 and will sell the bed extender at cost, and install for free. Good deal then I guess huh.. call me a Ford F150 owner..

oh, sorry for the ignorance on my part, but what does the 3.73 gear ratio get me? I need to research some of this stuff LOL

it will give u more low end "oumph" and is better for towing then the 3.55.. that and you got limited slip which is always a plus

Best deal I've seen so far on an 09. May be a no-brainer. The 3.73 is the one you want. It gives you a little more RPM and more low end torque, which will be better around town. That will help because the Platinum comes with larger wheels. The 3.73 is also better for towing.

I rode in one of these very trucks the other night and all I can say is WOW! I rode in the back seat and could not believe the room these have since they streched them. Total luxury! Id love to have one myself but even at the discounted price its out of my budget. Congrats on your soon-to-be new truck! Be sure to post some pics!!

My dad just got his platinum. It is an 09 5.4ffv and every option under the sun. The sticker was 52,000 and he got it for 38,000. So you did pretty good on your truck.

Yea Thad, but yours will be a 2010 and the one he is buying is a 2009. That does make a difference. A year or two down the road take a look at book on the 2 vehicles. I'm not putting his down, but I think you've got a pretty darn good deal on a 2010. Apples and oranges. You're not likely to get the deal he has, not when yours will be a 2010, even if there's not much of any change, which there probably won't be.

I made the deal this morning. The dealer came down $2000.00 more but I took a hit on the trade. Over all I think I did alright. Now the waiting begins. They estimate 6 weeks.

i just wish they would price them for real and stop all this fluff rebate crap. If a truck is being sold for 36500 and the sticker is 49k who looses in the end.. we do. ... ha just price the damn thing fair.

I didn't pick up the Plat. .. had a 530 apt and then got a text that 2 people were in 'front' of me. ... so I told them tomorrow.. If they put ppl in my place again.. then I'm done. Do you you say.. and stick to it!

I agree. The worst part is paying sales tax on the customer cash.

Got it - all mine $37500 as I decided not to go with Ford Credit got 4.09 rate (: via Chase

one of the smoothest burying experiences I've ever had with a vehicle (except for BMW)

Great deals - if you are in the Cincinnati are drop me a PM for contact info. This dealer was great to work with and I highly recommend them.
