Gun rights poll

http://www.usatoday.com/news/quickqu.../popup5895.htm

USAToday is asking if you think the Second Amendment gives you the right to bear arms.

Please post this at all of the other sites you visit.

97% percent say the second amendment says we have the right to bear arms. all that means is theyknow how to read and can interpret the bill of rights.

now ask how many would like that changed to eliminate guns.

i would like to see an overwhelming majority that says concealed carry is good.

You DO realize that poll is from 2007, correct? It makes its rounds every few months on right leaning sites.

You mean to tell me that they can control that survey so that it only goes to people that favor the right to bear arms? That's ludicrous. It is a fact that has been proven over and over in this country that cities or areas that have freedom with firearms (especially concealed carry) have far less crime against person. The criminals are ALWAYS going to have guns, I can gaurantee you that. It's when the criminals don't know who may pull on them that the crime against person goes way down. I am all for a safer society and that means less gun restriction, not more!

The correct answer would be NO, although I wouldn't answer it that way. It does not GIVE individuals the right to bear amrs. It PROTECTS an individual's God-given right. Just another example of re-education

You implied that the poll was skewed because it was promoted by right wing sites with some recurring frequency...Code58 argued against that logic because the poll could equally be promoted by leftist sites.
