looking for some opinions
ok, some of you may had read my threads about selling off my daily driver & my lightning & being in search of a 4 door daily driver since my wife is pregnant. i've been searching for like an older honda accord with 4 doors & preferrably 5-speed. well, i found 2 that are in the running....
1) 95 EX model, gold, leather seats, basically top of the line for that year, V6, auto (my only gripe), sunroof, power everything, and only 57k miles on it (that's the great part).
2) 97 LX model, black, cloth seats, aftermarket power sunroof, power windows/locks, 2.2L 4 cyl, 5-speed (what i wanted), and 109k miles on it.
what would you guys (and gals) do? go for the car with lower miles, bigger engine? or get the older car with higher mileage, but has the 5-speed & color that i wanted?

I would get a crew cab P/U - even a small one like a Nissan Frontier, Ford Sport Trac, Dodge Dakota, or Toyota provides more interior room, a safer place to mount a car seat, and a more comfortable ride.
What kind of budget do you have? In all honesty, I'd be inclined to buy something newer if I were you. While the basic mechanicals of the vehicles you list may be sound, whenever a vehicle gets to that age they can start nagging you with little things that need constant attention.
Brakes, hoses, belts, batteries, leaking seals, CV joints -- the list can go on and on. While none of these are necessarily budget busters, they can really add up over time, especially when you consider the annoyance of having to fix them -- and these things NEVER go out when it's convenient.
From your post I'm guessing you're moving to a single car in the family? If so, I'd rather invest in a newer, more reliable car than a vehicle that is probably more suitable for your high school aged daughter to beat around town with.
Just my .02 cents worth.......

x2. I haven't seen your other threads. Why not a crew cab F150? If it were me I'd want that child as safe as possible. I feel 10x safer in a truck than a car.
