Is There a Big Difference Between 2009 & 2010 F150's?

I was out tire kicking and test driving today, "thinking' about trading the truck in and was wondering what th differences were between 2009 and 2010.

There's a 2010 FX/4 crew Cab I liked. but then he showed me a 2009 Platinum version that was the sales manager demo (has 8,000 miles on it)

The 09 platinum is about 6k more than the 2010 fx/4, but it has a few extra luxuries, but also one year older.

The sales guy said there are no differences whatsoever between the 2 model years, but since I don't/can't really take what they say as fact, I thought I would check here.

When I got my truck, I knew every option for every trim line, I couldve been a great salesman, but now I don't know chit anymore, lol.

What ya think guys, 09 or 10?

From what I understand the brake system was redone. Bigger brakes for bigger loads. Grill change as well.

To add

* Upgraded brakes: The only notable engineering change for the 2010 F-150 is an overhauled brake system. It includes new rotors that are 6 percent larger than last year's rotors, plus new front calipers, master cylinder, brake booster and linings. Grueber said F-150 drivers should see improved brake feel, reduced stopping distance and reduced brake dust thanks to the upgrades.
* Durable vinyl flooring is now available for the first time in the four-door XL SuperCrew work truck. Carpet is optional.
* The front headrests have been redesigned based on customer feedback. They sit about a half-inch farther back and use a new foam material.
* FX2 Sport Model: After going on hiatus in 2009, the FX2 Sport returns for 2010 on SuperCab and SuperCrew 4x2 trims. Appearance upgrades include 18-inch machined aluminum wheels, a unique billet-style grille, body-colored front and rear bumpers, a unique lower valence and color-accented angular step bars. There's also chrome-tipped exhaust, fog lamps and sport cloth captain's chairs with a flow-through console.
* The entry-level XL model receives unique new wheels.
* New exterior colors: White Platinum Tri-Coat, Molten Orange Tri-Coat (Raptor only), Ingot Silver, Tuxedo Black and Lava (Harley only). Some of last year's colors have been dropped, including Amber Gold, Brilliant Silver, Stone Green, Black and White Sand Tri-Coat.
* Notable deletions: The stylish flareside box is no longer offered for 2010, and the 133-inch-wheelbase SuperCab configuration with a 5.5-foot box is no longer available, except for on the 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.

* MyKey: Ford's exclusive programmable key is available for all models except the entry-level XL. MyKey is aimed at parents of teen drivers. It features a persistent buckle-up reminder chime and mutes the truck's stereo until the seat belt is fastened. Audio system volume is limited to 44 percent of the maximum volume, and top speed is limited to 80 mph, with speed alert chimes at 45, 55 or 65 mph. It also disables the traction control system from being deactivated.
* As we reported last month, Ford is dropping the "superior fuel economy" label from two-wheel-drive F-150 pickups equipped with the 4.6-liter, three-valve V-8 next year, but keeping the SFE's 15/21 mpg city/highway fuel-economy rating.
* King Ranch and Platinum models get heated second-row seats, a power-sliding rear window with defrost, and a Sony in-dash six-CD player.
* XLT model gets a new unique six-bar billet-style grille (pictured at top) with the optional new XLT Chrome Package. Last year's three-bar chrome grille is still available for standard XLT F-150.

I keep seeing threads about the payload being higher in the 2010's.... if that matters to you. However, some have mentioned they wouldn't be surprised if new stickers were sent out to 09 owners to put on their pillars since there is not that much of a difference between the two. I'd check up in the 09+ forum about this.

You know what's funny guys?
How greasy salesmen are, I mean not that I'm surprised but here's a little detail from the test drive (sales guy rode along with my wife and I)

Habibi: "So, this is a pretty good time for consumers to be buying a new truck eh?"

Sales guy: "How do you mean exactly?"

Habibi: "Well, the economy is in the chitter, there are all kinds of incentives, the big 3 are really trying to compete hard".

Sales guy: " SILENCE - I mean so quiet its frikkin deafening" because you can tell the greasy ***** is trying to think of some comeback to refute what I just said.

Finally he says "Well I'm still not sure what you mean by that"

These greasy fkers get on my nerves so bad, it's like they will lie to your face if it means they have a .001% chance of trying to maintain upper hand.
Sort of like when the real estate came to a screeching halt in my town, nothing was moving, and I happen to bump into my agent.

"Oh, how's business Tom, keeping your head above water?"

"Oh geez, we can hardly keep up, it's busier now than it’s ever been, I don't know why those guys on the news lie about the economy"

It's almost like they have a secret meeting at 2am, the head bs-er stands up in front of the rest and says "Ok boys, here's our plan, this is what we're gonna do...

If someone asks if we are busy, you lie your asses of and tell them yes, we need people to stay confident and not think they have any upper hand, so just lie NO MATTER WHAT"

Anyway, this isn't really a rant, more of an observation because I do know all too well this is a frikkin great time to be buying a $40,000 truck, and for this guy to act so nonchalant, like I can get in line with all the other buyers is kind of comical, because it's obvious he's full of chit.

Anyway, thx for the replies, not sure if I will buy one because I enjoy not having payments, but I will definitely mull it over.
