Water proof camera

Well, I am an idiot. I placed my camera on my tool box, loaded the bike into the truck, and took off. Forgetting to grab my camera off the box, so it ended up in the road somewhere. Looked for 15 min, and couldn't find it, so I figure someone got them an early Christmas present.

Anyway, now I am in the market for a new digital camera. I've been looking at the waterproof ones. Anyone have one, or can suggest one? I'm looking to keep in under $400.

Also, if anyone found a black Casio in a pelican case in NJ, I'll give you a reward for its return.

Wife and daughter each have an olympus stylus 850SW, which is an older, waterproof and shockproof. Very good cameras.

Yea, just searched around a little bit. Think Im gonna go with the 8000 in black.
How is the picture quality on their camera? I have no idea what all that megapixel stuff is. So I just go off how the pics look, instead of that number.

Cheapest I can find the 8000 in black is $300 shipped from amazon. Any other websites I should check first?

The picture quality is very good. Lots of settings to choose from as well. My daughter has taken pictures underwater with hers.

Here's a shot with my daughter's camera from this summer's vacation. My old man getting in the pool.

x2 the olympics stylus tough 8000 is the best camera i have ever seen. It takes better pictures than a big sony alpha.... and it can take pictures at like 30ft underwater....
