Ink stains

How do I get ink (regular black ballpoint pen) out from virtually ALL of my dress shirts? Pen kersploded in wash

Google results suggested milk, hairspray & oxyclean stuff. Does anyone have something they've used, and know it works (before I turn my shirts into a chemical waste land)?

I use methanol but isopropyl alcohol works on most inks. You might want to take them to a dry cleaner and see what they can do. Do not heat them in the dryer or you will set the stain.

A girl told me in class a few years back that spraying them with shout and then freezing them works. ( I never tried it tho) I had a stain right near my crotch (pen). Let's just say people thought it was something else

Try resolve carpet cleaner in a spray bottle and allow to soak for 12hrs then wash normal.
