Remote Keyless Entry??

I recently purchased a used 2004 F150 Lariat. It is pretty loaded. Power everything, sunroof, adjustable pedals. Is there a way to tell what options would have been on the truck new.

It has the keypad on the door for entry.

I thought that a truck this loaded would have remote keyess entry. The Dearler I bought it from did not have the key fobs. Is there a way to tell if this truck came equipped with this option?

That's keyless entry -- keypad on the door. A VIN look up at a ford dealer can tell you. You could of made that a must have prior to purchase from the dealer. The dealer would know if it was an option but may not know where the keyfob's are.

Could always install an auto start/alarm sys/remote entry setup with after market fobs.

I am not sure if carfax would say so or not or ford fleet site.

A lariat always come with the key fobs new. My guess is when it was traded they were never turned in. You can get replacements. Not sure on the programming of the replacements.
