I've been out 4 times so far. Saw a really nice buck but couldn't get a shot in. I also saw a doe and yearling but held off on shooting.

I'll be out again this weekend!!!!

I WISH I could bowhunt, but, have to wait for rifle season here in KS. Oh well, the best things are WORTH waiting for!!!

I couldn't bow-hunt anywhere! 26 years ago, I had a wreck and broke EVERYTHING from my knees up, so it's a little hard to pull a bow back, and even harder to hold it back! I've had 15 surgeries in the last 6 years, and "We've only just begun"!!! I've been thinking of getting a crossbow, but even that is during rifle season here in KS, so might as well stick with what I've got, and save some $$$$.

I saw this buck! And he's HUGE!!! I saw him running over a hill.

In the boat heading out in the morning to our deer watches.

Been bow hunting for dang near a month, goose has been open for more about a month also, duck just opened last weekend, grouse was the weekend before that, took a kid on his youth deer hunt also and shot a nice muley. So ya hunting season is already here....

Archery started this morning @12:31 AM here. I won't make it to the cabin until the 24th. This will be my 3rd year for rifle and 2nd year with the bow. I think I enjoy the bow season more....it's not as cold and the deer don't seem to be skeered yet.

Checking all my rifle sightings and upgraded my ATV. Deer season is going to be really good this year.

I wish I was as excited for hunting as you guys. My family has some of the best hunting land in the state of Kansas, and since we only let two people hunt on it, other people sneak onto our land and hunt. This means gates left open, trampled fields, misc. stuff stolen from sheds, and scared cows damaging fences.

Not my favorite time of year.
