It seems that the Hollywood left wants California to leave Polanski alone. As Whoopi states, it wasn't "rape" rape.

He plead guilty to a lesser crime then fled the country because he feared he would have to spend time in jail. He was charged with giving a 13 year champagne and a sedative, then raping her.

I was waiting for a thread to get posted about this. Surprised there hasn't been one yet given it's been a few days.

Why does every celebrity feel they are entitled to do what they want and not have to suffer the consequences of their actions? This is getting out of control. Rape, sodomy, and a diet of drugs and alcohol is what this 13 year old endured at the hands of Polanski, what is there to debate? I wish they would make an example out of him, but I won't hold my breath.

 

Life sentence.

They should make an example of him, yes. Sucks what happened to his wife and all, but you can't drug and rape kids.
