iPod app question ?
iPod app question ?
Overall, I'm very pleased with the sound quality of my iPod Touch. I still can't believe how much clean music than tiny little thing can produce
But just to be nitpicky, it kind of bugs me that they only allow you to choose "Rock... or Jazz... or bass boost... or treble boost, etc, etc. In other words, nothing but a bunch of "pre-sets".
What, don't they think I'm smart enough to "adjust my own music" with simple > treble, mid, bass, and sub-bass controls < ??? I actually consider myself to be pretty much a pro at this, with all the experience I get from adjusting my truck stereo, all the time
Is their a simple app available, that will let me do this ?
I've looked on the Apple site, but haven't seen one.....
Thanks,
Fish

Where do I go to find these pre-set settings?
I'm so lame when it comes to this stuff.
Thanks.

Hey Habibi, just click the icon on your iPod desktop for "settings", then go to "music", then to "EQ". This will take you to a list of presets..... and some might sound "pretty good" with "some" of your music...... But to me anyway, "none" of these presets sound quite as good with "any" of my music, as I could fine tune it, if I had the sperate trebel, mid, bass, and sub-bass adjustments I was asking about. Oh well.
BTW, does anybody know what the "sound check" feature does ???
Peace,
Fish

Love my touch also, but the eq is seriously lacking.

I've been listening to my music with the EQ "Off" so now I can play around with the presets.
Normally I connect it to my truck's Jenson HU via the external input connector, so I've been using the customizable EQ on the HU to tailor the sound.
Anyway, cool, good to know I can change the sound when I'm listening with regualr earphones.
Oh I read your reply about your Sony's, they looks pretty nice, I have a simular pair (AKG K99) I think they were around the same price as your Sony's.
I use those at home when I'm sitting at my desk, but I want something small for when I'm out and about.
Thanks again for the info on the presets.
