Did you notice... 2 KEY FACTS?

1. Police told ABC15 that a dealer brought a loaded handgun into the convention center and placed it under a table.

Why would you leave a loaded gun out in the open... who cares if it under a table it shouldn't be loaded. There's no reason for it to be loaded.

2. Someone later pulled the trigger of the gun.

Notice: IT IS NOT THE GUNS FAULT!!!!!!!

So guns are safe. People with the lack of common sense are what make them dangerous.

I read it. He brought it in loaded then had it un-secured. what scared me is the number of kids i see at gun shows, what if one of them had messed with it.

Im just afraid about the negative press that could come from this. they will try to make a conection from this incident to the guys carrying at town halls.

I hear ya... there are lot of kids at gun shows. I think gun collecting is a fine hobby, as well as having a hobby at shooting them in a range or hunting. I know a lot of kids that get into rifle shooting, and having guns teaches them how to respect guns and educates them that they can be dangerous when not used properly. Which 99% is just simple common sense.

Just like knives... knives don't hurt people. It's people that abuse them for what they are. I'm an avid knife collector, and I always have my knife with me clipped to my belt or clipped to the inside of my pocket. I've gotten some strange responses over the past few years... and I always come back with this line: "Knives don't hurt people, people hurt people. I'm not one of those." Gets them to shut up every single time.

The gun shows here they make you zip tie the trigger down and zip tie the bolt open.
