Remember when....
Man, to many things to quote. Good thread!
Any of you guys remember the Evil Knievel motorcycle toy? It had the rip cord you'd pull and then set the bike down?
I remember my mom and dad had the window air conditioner and us kids had fans in our rooms. Sneak over to their room and the door was almost always locked! Hmm, wonder what they were doin'?
How 'bout putting the playing cards in the spokes of your bike? Thought you were on a real motorcycle!! That was so cool!!!!
I remember when remote cars first came out. My Dad bought me a Ferrari for Christmas. They would turn left and right and that's it. Didn't think life could get much better than that.

Saturday morning was "Creature Double Feature", with Godzilla and mouths that moved differently from the words......
I remember being at "Nana's", and the grown-ups watching Lawrence Welk, which was followed by the Disney
"movie-of-the-week" (which all seemed to star a young Kurt Russell)
Later in yrs...
Dad drove a Pinto that he bitched about.
Mom had a Dodge Dart
(1st car I ever drove, when I lied and told her "yeah they've taken us out on the street in Drivers Ed", when in reality I had never driven before. I'll never forget that nervous ride!)
Bro 1 had a '66 Econoline 3 in the tree, and a 71 Mach 1.
Bro 2 had moms hand-me-down 67 Plymouth Belvedere.
I had a 66 GTO.
We watched All In The Family, MASH, Taxi, Happy Days, Lavern and Shirley
Got sick on Shlitz beer.
Peppermint Schnapps could fool moms "why are you late test", telling her it's the gum.
I've got to go listen to Kid Rocks' "All Summer Long" now.......
That song (although 1984 & Cape Cod) is sooooo true....

Computers didn't have hard drives! Just a tape drive and if you were lucky, a 5 1/4" floppy drive and it took FOREVER to load anything!
Oh ya, the Vic 20 "computer" that hooked up to your TV!
