Week 2 Lineup help

So we start another season. Great week 1, hope everyone else had the same fortune I did coming out 1-0. Obviously not an indicator of your season but a great start. So I come to some lineup issues.

I play in a PPR league. I am coming to a stopping block on who to put in as my #5 flex person. I have Peterson and Portis at RB and Santonio Holmes in my WR position. I picked up Earl Bennett from Chicago and he will start on my team this week. The reasoning behind this is the fact that he Cutler played together at Vanderbilt so they know each others style and what to expect. That on top of the fact that he got 13 ***** thrown his way last week while Hester only had 6.

So I'm down to my #5 Flex spot. I have Reggie Bush and Bernard Berrian. I play in a PPR League so there is some serious potential for Reggie but they are playing Philly this week who has a tough defense. Berrian is apparently back to full speed on things and I know Favre can get the deep ball to him but he scored zero last week. I'm leaning towards Berrian since they are playing Detriot this week....and we all know what a tough defense they have.

So help me out, who to start this week, Bush against the Eagles or Berrian against the Lions?

Berrian.

I was 3-0 last week. Won all 3 by at least 30 points. Of course I do have Adrian Peterson in two of those leagues...

Berrian is the better match up for the PPR. He also has a weaker D to face. What are the yds per point of wr and rb?

My thoughts too. I have Peterson also but he has to take a break sometime and with Favre behind center I don't think they will give much hesitation to throwing. With Berrian healthy now, hopefully he will be the one open deep.

My score break downs are 20yds=1pt for RB : and 25yds=1pt for WR.

Well think also if the lions have a better pass D then rush D, favre doesn't through so much and AP carries the. Ball a lot so you get the PPT and yardage and hopefully some TD points. There is a points per touch as well right?

Think that out.

Well you have to remember that last week Bush got his points through receptions and he only got 5 points. He had 7 rushing attempts for 14 yards while Bell on the other hand....well he topped the 100 yard mark. You can clearly see who earned the top spot as running back in that one. I picked up Bush in round 8 (9 round draft) with the hopes that he may come out and have a different season this year.....not the case yet. I think I'm going to let Berrian start. I mean AP can only run so much and if I'm wrong it doesn't matter because he's on my team too LOL.

Great points. I don't look at weeks 1 and 2 as that much of an standard to base the rest of the season like many already said. This should be a weekly thread!!!

You are absolutely correct about a week to week thing. Just because some running back gets 80000 points this week does not mean that it will happen next week. They face different challenges with every team they face. It is always nice to start the season out 2-0 though LOL.
