laptop HDD as slave

laptop HDD as slave

The computer is owned by my dad and he has asked if this HDD can be set as a slave for a backup. How would i go about doing this? Thanks

Guess I could have been more clear. I am trying to do data recovery. The laptop is still good, the hard drive just got wiped somehow so I'm trying to see if anything can be pulled off. I have the utility that can pull anything off if it is there. The HDD is sata and i'm trying to hook it to an IDE pc.

SATA to USB is probley the best way to do this.

I have the same, - comes in handy and works flawlessly on the MAC or PC

thanks for the help guys. he actually has two more desktops that have sata hard drives so i shut one down and pulled the cable out. i'm running a deep scan now.
