ok guys i have to do a science fair project which is stupid for kids in high school but what ever. I was seeing if any of you could come up with a good one. I would like to do something involving cars because that is my passion. So does any one have a suggestion? thanks

 

ahhhhh the days of science fair... SUCKED!

my junior year of hs was the only time I ever actually cared and tried. I did a project that involved running different types of gasoline (87 no ethanol, 87 10% ethanol etc) in a tiller to see how long the engine would run. I took the top award at 3 science fairs, including state science fair. didn't get any special awards but it was awesome to have my name attached to that around school. it takes a ton of research (PITA) and thinking and writing + putting the board together to get it all right. you can use my idea if you want.

 

nitrogen filled tires vs "normal air"
go into the science that air is so many % nitrogen, oxygen, helium, w/e...

and show that for normal use, it is/isnot worth it for the average driver

 

The negative effets that these projects have on the students: stress, aggrivation, wated time in your life... you know, stuff like that

 

Which condom brand makes the best feeling latex. Includes much testing. Don't forget to include video and pictures.

 

I know it is so stupid to force kids to actually learn something and apply it in school. What is this world coming to? No wonder America is going down the crapper.

 

get some light bulbs and some batteries, test to see which ones are the best Simple and cheap

You could use my old science project i did in the 4th grade. "Which colors keep you cooler in the hot sun" Make 3 popsicle stick houses, paint one white, one black, and leave one as the variable or constant. Put some thermometers in them and leave them in the sun.

I may be wierd by Science projects were fun. Now its all essays, papers, and exams.

 

I know dude, prolly one of the last people that needs to be told that... very aware of this with my own work... was just making a joke

 

you could do one on oil breakdown such as what oil has the best breakdown properties or you can even do one on eco friendly cars vs gas. just an idea

 

Quite a lot of expensive test equipment required for those tests.

He would be best served by doing something directly related to the topics taught in his classrooms. Show the teachers that he paid attention and actually learned something and was able to apply it to a real world experiment.

hey guys i am going to do one of the first two ones because i had to turn in something to my teacher this morning. thanks for all the replys all had great ideas. the class is marine science i thought it would be a easy class and not to much work because we get to go to the beach and stuff. thanks again.
