True, but why should strong responsible parents be put in the positon of having to refute the president?

Anyways, there are lots of kids that don't have the benefit of strong, responsible parenting. If the president does push a load of propaganda (we will find out on Tuesday), who is going to refute the programming to those children?

Sure it happens. But not nearly to the scale you imply. He did get elected after all.

Because my concept also applies to the other side. How many people voted for Obama because he was a "brotha"? We've all seen the videos of the people who obviously knew nothing about either sides policies, but voted purely on the color of their skin.

Youth are easy targets, I would say its the teachers that have to be worried about, not downing on anyone who knows a teacher but point being, in high school i always butted heads with my English teachers, anti-war, anti-conservative, propaganda spewing machines, and their take on it "well im giving you the facts and you form your own opinion" haha bias facts they spit it out in a way where there would only be one opinion, blame the republicans, which always made me the minority, 90 percent of my fellow classmates ate it up and went about their day repeating it and talking bad on the republicans about something they didn't even understand, basing their opinion and facts on something they heard from a bias source, moral of the story don't be sheep, don't let your children become sheep who knows where hes going with all this but the more people that aren't brain washed the better off we will be

Being from the south, I know that racism is still alive and well. No one will admit it unless they know you really well and trust you enough to tell, but it still thrives. I'm sure a portion of racist families are making sure their children don't go to school just for that reason. Obama could tell them a 100% approved speech, but they wouldn't want their children to be shown that a human being with a different skin color could be in a once exclusive white man's position.

This doesn't apply to all families that are holding their kids out for that day, but I personally know at least 20 families in my own town that would do that just because of deep seeded racism.
I'm sure there are people that didn't vote for him because he's black. But for every one white guy that voted for McCain becuase Obama is black there are ten black guys who voted for Obama just because he is black. Thats racism too.
