I bet the trailer snapped from the truck impacting the pole. IF the trailer would have snapped before he hit the pole, theres no way the boat would have ended up like it did, it would have stopped on its own and stayed on the trailer or broke free and ended up on its side.

i'll agree with this more so, looks like the bow of the boat folded the upright for the crank assy when it said it was going down the road still.

Someone mentioned the fact , that the boat was a Bayliner. I'll bet if it was a Ranger, it would have hit the pole also
