I was eating honey nut cheerios, and watching KTLA5 when I SAW the second plane hit live.....weird stuff man. Got to band (****) and heard all flights were stopped. Got to my second class around 1030 and learned of the collapse. I dont know that I can explain what I felt. I would've nuked a few countries for sure. I dont know that I would've really cared which they were.

I'm a lot more cool headed now.

I remember being at work and telling the other parts guy that something just didn't fieel right...I couldn't put my finger on it, but something was just not right that day when someone else said that the WTC was on fire. I really thought nothing about it. A little bit later I went up to the customer lounge to get another cup of coffee when everyone was standing around the TV. I stopped to watch for a minute when I saw the second plane hit. It took a few mintues for what I had just seen to sink in.

This was definitely another indellible moment in time. My parents can remember what was happening when Kennedy was shot. I can remember what I was doing when Challenger exploded and what I was doing on 9/11.

What will we never forget? I truly hope you're not minimizing it. We will never forget the innocent people in the 3 planes that crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. We will never forget the heros who stood up to the hijackers and caused the fourth plane to crash in a Pennsylvania field instead of it's rumored intended target of the Capitol. We will never forget the innocent people in the World Trade Center and in the Pentagon who, while going through their daily business, were killed whether instantly or after suffering. We will never forget the men and women who gave their lives to rescue the people in the buildings and were in and around them when they collapsed. And last, but most certainly NOT least, we will NEVER forget the men and women who willingly and unselfishly fight for our country and are willing to pay the ultimate price for our freedom.

Every time you see a serviceman (or woman) in uniform, make a special point of thanking them for their service. They're risking their lives for you! You may not agree with some of what's going on in the country right now, but if it weren't for that young man or woman you wouldn't be able to do something about your displeasure. That, my friend, is something we should NEVER forget.

To anyone who reads this from the armed forces past, present and future: THANK YOU for your service.

Which they? The service personnel or terrorists? Service personnel do it for their own personal reasons. The terrorists.....yah, we will, but that's a whole different story. There's probably a LOT we don't know thanks to governmental 'editing'

Why did they fly the airplanes into the buildings?
Not being facetious, just wondering what you are thinking.

We were just in the process of starting up our new foundry here, several of us were in a plc class and stopped to watch the news as it was happening. I still get chills up and down my spine when I hear those sirens on the packs that those firefighters were wearing when they got buried in the debris of the 2nd tower collapse. I commend all those who died in the attacks and rescue, all the survivors and families of those who died and all those that are still fighting for our freedom right now !!! God bless america !!!
