Best way to payoff ford?

I have the money saved up and decided to payoff the truck early . I just dont know the best way to do it. My payoff is 12k, so whats the easiest and safest way to do it? I'm guessing some type of wire transfer or have them just draw it out of my account?

You call up the bank, ask them what the payoff is, it changes daily. Then you send them a check.

You could also do it online. That's how I make my monthly payments. Comes right out of your bank account.

When you call the bank ask for the payoff amount.. What they will do is give you an amount up to a certain date.. After that date the amount will chance.. Usually they give you that amount and it's good for about a week..

hell with that....CASH a check, see how good it feels to hold that wad in ya hand...smell it, flip through it, and then see how $#!^Y it feels to hand it over to someone else!!......THEN, you take whatever your monthly note was and make that $$ amount in upgrades to the truck per month !!!! Should have it lookin' great in no time!!

I would rather do it online, so I dont risk anything getting lost in the mail. That would be my luck. I'm actually really good with saving money, so I always save what I can and I usually dont just go buy everything I want. But sometimes its fun to spoil yourself. I will give ford a call this week and ask them the payoff and go from there, cant wait to get that title, and no more ford credit bills in the mail.

I could be wrong, but I dont think you can send your payoff online if you are with Ford credit. At least I couldnt. I had to send them an actual check in the mail.

I'm gonna call them in the morning and see what they prefer. Maybe some type of wire transfer or something? As long as I get a reciept, I'm good.

I always made my payments online. When I paid mine off early, I called it in so that a mistake would not be made. Wrong! They took the money ($25K) out of my checking instead of my savings. Yes, it caused all kinds of havoc. It is all fixed now though.
