just got done with an ebay/sportsmans guide shoping spree

Well i decided that i was going to trick out my sks and see how it compares to my ar so heres the run down its all going onto a late 50's chinese sks (btw i preparing for z-day)

Tapco 6way stock

Two picinini rails

a receiver cover with three picinini rails

a 40mm red/green dot

three tapco 20rd poly mags

then i have a grip pod and a weapon light that im going to throw on.

should have some picks up around wedsday. If it works out it will be about 1/3 of the cost of my AR given that the optics on my ar are grade A

A friend of mine "accurized" an SKS. Bedded it, recrowned it, hand loaded for it, it was the most accurate SKS I've ever seen in my life, it was actually a pretty cool and fun project. Didn't really cost anything more than some time and effort.

We didn't have the distance at the time to shoot it past 100 yards, but it'd hold MOA all day at 100. It was a 3-4" rifle before the work and the hand loaded ammo.

You do know that this thread is WORTHLESS!

What are you hanging everything on? (I know it's an AR-15; maker?)

lol no this is going on a SKS Im just putting a little money into it to see how it does. I dont expect to hold any MOA with it, I dont think it can even spell moa. haha

Last time i shot it it was 5ish inch groups. Its a tactical rifle so really all I need it to do is hold 18" at 50-75 yards I bet it can handle that

this is how it started

this is it now

heres the target its with the 5ish rounds it took to sight in. before all you "snipers" out there give me ***** remember this is at 100yds with 7.99 a box wolf ammo and a 1x red dot. there were even a few misses ill admit but the point is at 100yds it will it someones chest very quickly

we shot around 80rds there were a few clays laying out there. i bet my buddy i could bust the 1x2 leg on my target frame. i hit way high on my buddies target that was trying to sight in his new rifle (funny as heck he just couldn't figure it out) and there were two boys out with there dad shooting there brand new .22's for the first time and i asked if they wanted to let a few off one was to scared but the other did and he was all smiles.

really? no takers?

the sks < $100
the parts right at $200
20rds < $8

so 300 bucks for a weapon system. the target is just messing around free hand at 100 yards plus i was popping clays with one or two shots.
