Thought i might see how many of you good ol F150 boys out there are dippers.

if you are whats your favorite brand/cut and time to dip.

Also if you have any funny or horror stories feel free to share.


Ill start it off

im a copenhagen man myself mostly long cut and straight but every now and then ill mix it up with some skoal mint or edge. I personally love the first dip of the day it always seems like its the best.

*** before anyone starts trashing this thread with "health" concerns i understand the risks i take and its my choice so if youd kindly not try to convince me otherwise it would be appreciated. Thanks

 

i do the new camel snus sometimes (i know its not technically dip). especially in class, it helps me stay focused lol.

I'll pinch about twice a day, a tin will last me about 3 days. First dip is usually in the morning, while I'm making my phone calls for work. Then another one around 2:30 or 3:00 (which reminds me...)

Horror Story - I was spitting into a Pepsi bottle and because we have a 5 year old and a 2 year old, I always put a cap on it whenever I leave to do something. Well, my brother was staying with us and sleeping on the pull out couch in our living room. I left the tainted pepsi bottle capped on the the end table next to the couch and went to bed (forgetting about it). Well, he woke up in the middle of the night, half asleep and parched. Saw the Pepsi sitting there with some brown fluid in it, uncapped it and took a big ole swig. Instantly through up all over the pull up bed.

I have also spilled a couple of chew bottles all over my desk and keyboard at work. That will happen at least once a year.

 

I am a levi guy. Maybe some lancaster on occasion. I troed the marlbaro snus, not a fan. Too sweet for me. I have a hard time with snuff, get everywhere and the levi goes where is want it. Plus the can doesn't last as long as my pouch. Who else???

 

ive tried the camel snus but it doesnt really do it for me. i do like how they ar discrete though. ive wanted to try real snus from sweden but havent ever got around to doing it.

i really hate fine cut cuz it just falls apart and is so hard to get a pinch.

JK007 - your pepsi story is horrible haha. my worst is opening a spit bottle left in the truck during the texas heat. never make that mistake again.

friend of mine was telling me he challenged two of his dipping friends to see if either could fill a 2 liter with spit, neither could do it before the smell kicked their butts

Horror/funny story take your pick.

Two, <10 yr old boys on vacation with their parents camping out. Decide to go get some chew at the camp "store". Parents fixed taco salad for dinner. Long story short, neither of us can eat taco salad to this day.

I love it. I chew redman wintergreen long cut. I can't stand fine cut. Although i did buy a can of Red Seal wintergreen fine cut today. I'm not much for the fruity flavors or skoal. I'm a redman wintergreen or grizzly mint when i feel like it type of guy. I buy straight every now and then too. I chew a can every day and half probably. And right of a morning is the best time. Wake up, put a dip in, take a chit, then take a shower. Great dip if you ask me haha. I don't really have too many horror stories. I've never thrown up off of it or anything. I've swallowed about half a dip before, that wasn't too fun haha.

 

Every now and then this topic comes around - I prefer Kodiak Wintergreen altho I'm open to just about anything (Skoal, Grizz, Timber, Cope, etc). I usually prefer wintergreen as a flavor tho.

I started when I was young and I can only seem to stop when someone helps/makes me (aka gf). When things go south / I'm having a bad day I can always count on it for a quick pick me up. I hope I don't go back to it as I finally quit (again) this last Moday :o

I don't smoke unless I'm drinking - I'd like to kick that habit too but that's even hard to do. I'm not going to buy anymore packs but I know that if someone was to offer me a cig at a bar or wherever we are drinking I'd take it in a heartbeat

EDIT: Never have thrown up before from chew, although the few times I've taken a swallow outta the spitter I was real close

 

Dipping snuff is asinine. It killed my High School football coach at age 55, terminal throat cancer. He had a wife and teenage children.

Not worth it.

Please refer comment to op. I respect your opinion but it comes down to a personal choice and that's not what this thread is about. Dipping is just another brotherhood just like f150's are here. This thread is about seeing what's up with others on the site who share a common like which just so happens to be snuff.
