It makes me laugh when I see people taking his side. He did serve his time in prison and I am fine with that but he never should have had his "lifetime" ban from the NFL lifted. The NFL thought his crimes were bad enough to issue the lifetime ban they should stick to it. I don't deny him a right to earn a living he is healthy and is capable of working a regular job of some kind but should he walk back into being paid millions of dollars to play football? Sorry, No!

He's not sorry for what he did, he's only sorry for getting caught, the man is a disgusting human being.

I most certainly wont be watching any eagles games.
Vick got a slap on the wrist?

I believe your theory about him is dead wrong.

oh please press conferences are a joke when a celebrity commits a crime, they are coached on what to say.

the man is a POS and doesn't deserve to play football.

and yea he did get a slap on the wrist, he barely served time and even then he got to go home early and be under "house arrest"...what a joke.

scum bags like him make it harder and harder everyday for people like me to own the dogs i love.

Why arent you complaining about Stallworth only getting 30 days in prison for killing a man?

I was talking to somebody here in Ohio that is involved the criminal justice system, and their point was that we, as a society, have become somewhat desensitized to a person killing another person---regardless of how it happens---and intentionally or not. But when an animal gets killed---we are outraged. Here in Northern Ohio we had a 76-year old grandmother kill a fawn in her back yard with a shovel---and she has received death threats.

All the while, others who have committed murder slink away into the system without so much as a whimper from us as a society.

As for Vick, if he is truly a "changed" person, why not tithe---give 10% of what he makes (or more) to worthwhile animal shelters and foster groups?

A while back, I knew that somebody would bring him back to the league---and I didn't think that he deserved it after what he did. Now, however, (and you all know that I love dogs) I believe that he needs to become "productive" so why not have him contribute both time and money to helping those creatures who cannot help themselves---and no, I am not referring to us Browns fans, either!?!

Some people act like they never do anything wrong. The man deserves second chance. Think about all the older people you know now that may have done a lot of stupid things when they were young. If they never got a second chance they wouldn't be here now. One mistake doesn't make you stupid, Repeated mistakes do.

That's a fair statement and, by the same token, he's served 'time' for his actions. He hasn't skirted the issue, run from it, or denied much. He knows he screwed up - I feel certain of that - but, has he changed from being an absolute skuzz?

Nah. He's still a skuzz.

There will be PETA protests at his games in all venues... much like there will likely be abortion protests at all of the University of Louisville games (Rick Pitino story)...

It's a shame all the way around but, to be frank, I'm already sick of hearing about it. More media sensationalism is all it's generating...

My problem with Vick is that the type of thing he did is a problem with his mind set and character. Those do not change very easily. They are usually sorry for getting caught, not for what they did. It's not like he got caught up in something and made a mistake. What he did indicates he has no regard for the suffering nor life of an animal. Sure, it's just a dog, but no dog deserves what he did. When people will do that to a dog, they are not far removed from doing it to a human. I have no use for him and my respect for the NFL has gone down as well.

Just like any crime, he did his time and is back in society. I'll watch him play, just like I'll work with a guy who has had a DUI, just like I'm online with people who have their own issues. Not that big a deal to me. He's apologized. He's moved on, we should move on.

Glad he got picked up by a team. Whether or not he deserves another chance is ultimately not our decision, no matter the crimes.

At least he'll compete with Kolb and Feely for a backup job.

Couldnt have said it better myself Bluejay.

People tend to overlook the fact the tie between people harming animals and people harming humans.

There's no excuse for what he did. He didn't make a mistake. It wasn't an accident. It was premeditated and was on going. There's no doubt in my mind that he feels no remorse for what he's done. He doesn't even sound sorry about it when he talks. To me, hurting animals in as bad as hurting children. There's no excuse for either. Both are innocent and defenseless. I realize not everyone sees things my way but if they were children instead of dogs there wouldn't even be a discussion. I've very much lost respect for the NFL and the Eagles. As for Stallworth, from what I understand of the situation, the guy wasn't in a designated area to cross a street. Like it or not (atleast here) if you're a pedestrian and you get hit in a crosswalk, it's the driver's fault. If you get hit by a vehicle and you're not crossing in the appropriate spot, you can expect to be given a citation as you're loaded into the ambulance. I knew a girl it happened to. Basically they got Stallworth for a DUI and not so much the manslaughter part of it.

If I was an Eagles fan prior to last night, I wouldn't be anymore.

"Hurting animals is as bad as hurting children" ? I hope that you are not serious.
