New Member from Midwest
I am a new member from Illlinois.
I am an owner of a 2001 Ford F150 5.4 XLT 4x4 .
Have driven it off road many times in Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and California.
Really like Utah and I go there when I can.
I have driven my F-150 to many states and just returned from camping on the Atlantic Coast South Carolina. Bought the truck brand new in 2001 and will probably keep it when I buy another Ford 4x4 truck to replace it.
I am trying to build a 1932 Ford Hotrod project; I have a flathead engine to start and will try to build a car around it.
I am a World War II aviation historian.
Looking forward to learning about Ford F150 trucks here on the forum.

Welcome aboard.
Sounds like you like to off road. If you haven't been, you should check out Silver Lake, by Pentwater Michigan. We go every year, leaving this weekend for our annual trip. Here's a link to it. Only place East of the Mississippi River that you can ride on sand dunes (I'm pretty sure)...

We usually stay at the state park camp ground.

Thanks everybody.
JK007,
Pentwater sound great!!! We love Michigan. I used to be a big Lions fan. I drove from the Chicago Metro area to Pontiac to go to the games. 1987 until they built the new stadium. I have gone to about 60-70 games in Pontiac. The Opdyke Road Party scene by the pedestrian bridge was a lot of fun when we tailgated. Wayne Fontes never lost 16 games.
Pentwater sounds great; I have a vintage aerial photo of Pentwater from the 1940s and I always wanted to go up there and check it out. Will give it a try. Thanks.
