He took off in frustration and embarrassment probably. Man, that looked like a rigged fight to me. I've never seen Forest lay down like that before, and he didn't take a big shot when he went down either. Bizarre.

If I was a conspiracy theorist type person, I'd think they were trying to get Machida and Silva in the ring together. Now THAT is a fight that'll bring in the PPV money.

 

I agree. I think Forrest must have really lost his nerve or something. Silva did a lot of taunting and I think that really frustrated him. I just watched a bad quality replay that's still surviving on youtube and it didn't look like Forrest did his usual smile/smirk that he does in response to Silva's taunting. Looks like he lost his nerve when he kept swinging to try and shut him up, but instead just got outstriked and looked like a fool.

 

it almost seemed that he got "paid" to take a fall. don't get me wrong i am a huge silvia fan but wtf? something just didn't seem right.

I watched the fight again this morning. Silva is just THAT GOOD. I think I was too shocked to see it last night. Wow!

 

Now it is explained...He had a dislocated jaw and couldn't hear out of one ear.

I was pretty scared for a while being a Forrest fan. I thought all his heart was gone and that he had really turned into a pansy. However, this is just more testament to Forrest's heart. A dislocated jaw and unable to hear out of one ear fighting the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world...I would of ran too.

 

Only decent fight was the Penn fight. Gotta love free PPV, I'd have been pissed if I payed for that show.

 

Silva is an animal! I would have thought Forrest would have won that fight. It makes me wonder if GSP did move up a class if he'd survive? I still wanna see GSP vs. Silva
