How Big is Big?

im 6ft 230, I've worked out for about 10 years now nothing major not a bodybuilder but im kinda cornfed. After AIT I was in the best shape of my life and weighted in at 192. But the 38 lbs since has been mostly bad weight.
6'0" 290 pounds.
I started back to the gym 3 weeks ago. I used to work out hard 4 to 5 days a week and was 230 pounds when I met my girlfriend 9 years ago. All that home cooking and lack of exercise compounded with turning 40 2 years ago caught up with me. When I turned 40 it seemed like my already slow metabolism completely stopped.

Getting married will do it to ya...
I don't know about the girls, but most guys- we really let ourselves go. When I got married, I was a rock-hard 250- One ETS from the military and 12 years later, I'm closer to 360. I'd LOVE to get back to 260, even to 270 (Teh bigest I ever was, while in uniform).
Being married (especially a newly wed) will do it to you. You skip the gym or the track, for a night with your baby, on the couch watching friends, then-afterwards, being friends. You stop lifting weights, and all that stuff- next thing you know, you and she wears the same size bra.
It happened to a friend of mine. He got married 2 years before I did- and the whole time I was in the Army, 205 lbs to 275 lbs, I was always, "BigHersh". Well, he and "BigHersh" played Flag Fotball together for 3 years. The first year, "BigHersh" played Center, while my partner from Chicago played wide receiver. He was about 5'9" and about 160 - 170. He got married in 1992, and by the start of the 1993 season, BigHersh was playing Center, and he was playing Right Guard. he had gone from 160 - 170 up to 245 in less than a football offseason. Why? Because he stopped going to the gym after work, he stopped playing basketball afterwork....
This weight gain was in the face of Army PT 4 times a week, in the mornings... At work, he was highly active, but after work, aside from eating and doing what newlyweds do- he was sedentary...
70 lbs, in about 9 months.
It can happen to you too- so, be careful.
I went from 272 in Oct. 1996 to 290 by New Years Eve. By March 1997, I was 315- Still solid, but starting to soften, as my sedentary life as a telecom technician began to weaken my once-tough body. I have leveled off around 350 - 360, but if I can muster the will power to get off the couch after 50 hours a week at work, carrying 3 - 6 hours in a Master's program, and babysittign from the time I get home, until the wife arrives- maybe I can drop summa this displacement...

My limit is 250. Once I go over that I'm gonna hit the gym again.
I can't believe I haven't yet.
So far my body has limited itself to around 245. I usually vary from 240-248

Me either, I usually had my eyes closed, until the first time i REALLY saw Jennifer Aniston- pre weight loss... Boy, she was FINE back when she had those curves testing the limit of the denim in those jeans... That woke me up, but it didn't get me off the couch...
Now, she's a stick figure, with a human head... I'm 3-4 couches later, I'm still there...
