How Big is Big?
Eat big for lunch, instead of supper. It makes a huge difference if you eat light in the evening. Eating before going to bed will keep you from losing, even if you work out.
this is exactly my problem, but with the hours I work its really not easy
My son (5) is 44" tall, and 45 lbs. 75th percentile on height, and 50th percentile on weight.
If he's anything like daddy, he'll be 5'11 and 180 lbs by the end of 8th grade. I thought I was on my way to his height being that tall at that age- but, something slowed my growth spurt and I managed to ease past the 6 foot mark to 72.75" (almost 6'1"). I round it off to 6'2" because that's where I am in my shoes! LOL.
My father was 6'4", I didn't quite get as tall as he was.
What scary is, they say men reach max height around age 25 - 26, and will shrink 2" - 3" by age 70 (I don't know at what age the shrinking process begins).
Man- if I live that long, one day I might be back down to 5'10" That's scary- I don't want to get shorter...

Well I guess I'm the biggest, 6'3" 425+, before you say anything, I'm a month away from bariatric surgery. Lots of hoops and red tape to get thru before my insurance will approve it.
I used to be right around 330 for years, but when I quit smoking, my weight skyrocketed up to where I'm at today.

), he has hair everywhere, and he even has a dark peach fuzz mustache!!!
He wears men's size 10 1/2 shoes presently at age 11, and they're getting small. When he was born a good friend of mine said He's got fingers for toes, and he still does. He's always had big hands and feet, but he's well on the way past my size 13's. lol
I'm thinking he'll be around the same height as me at least, but not near as big.
As for me, I just hope I'm not -6' tall when I'm 70!!!

I just need to get off my butt and start exercising. Maybe I should blame this forum.
Well the doctors tell me if I stick to the strict diet rules after surgery, I could be below 250 in two years.
I also have an 11 y.o. and she's 5'2" and #110 and wears a size 8 womens shoe.

I have a co-worker friend that had gastric bypass that went from 375 pounds to 175-180 pounds in around 2 years. He wasn't obese so to speak, looked like a big offensive lineman at 6'4", just big. He was having chronic back and hip problems due to his weight and he being an Ohio HS state champ wrestler and an ex Marine. He looks completely different now, almost too skinny. He had the surgery at around age 45 or so.
