I agree!! Even if you take some of the goodies off sell them, then sell the truck for $3-4K at least you would not be adding to the problem so you could sleep well at night.

This cash for clunkers program makes me wish i still had my old truck! I would think though you'd be better off selling it in your front yard. I'm sure you can get $5k outta it.

take everything out and drive it on a milk crate and a 4 banger ranger motor

sell the grill, head lights, tail lights, tail gate, tow hitch , mirrors, strip the interior, basicly any part people are willing to give some $$$ for so you can get a lil more ahead

the $4500 is guaranteed so give as little as possible and help some people out by allowing them to get your parts for cheap since your truck is gonna be destroyed anyway
