Biggest tax revenue drop since 1932

Well, looks like the morons in Washington will now have to deal with the recession. Individual taxes are down 22% and corporate taxes are down 57%. With less money coming in there will not be money available to fund the current programs let alone any new ones like health care. How is it that we can elect such stupid morons to run this country? Greenspan said 2 years ago that this was coming. And all these zipperheads can do is think of new ways to spend money we don't have. Here's a blip from the article:
"Our tax system is already inadequate to support the promises our government has made," said Eugene Steuerle, a former Treasury Department official in the Reagan administration who is now vice president of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation.

The reason we elect these morons is the pure and simple fact that it doesn't matter which one you vote for, whoever gets elected will do what's best for them and not for the people they represent.

We should all do our part to keep tax revenue down.

Here in MA, just three days ago the sales tax went from 5% to 6.25%. They've also added sales tax to alcohol which already has an excise tax. I live on the CT border. They have a 6% sales tax, but I'd rather give them 6% than give MA any. I've already cut my spending way down. Now, for the things that I do need, I'll take a ride down to CT.

I can do my own things to avoid paying the excessive taxes that are being levied, but my fathers company, of which I've been employed at for eighteen years, can't avoid paying these higher taxes. Going from 5% to 6.25% might not seem like a lot but when I price up a job with items that that are typically three hundred, five hundred maybe a thousand dollars each, there is a pretty big increase. It tightens the margin and makes it harder to compete. We're already a bare bones operation. There isn't room to cut much. Now companies submitting bids are going too close to the margine, just to have work.

The more they tax us the less we should earn/spend. We cannot submit to legislated servitude!

Don't expect them to ask you real nice with cream and sugar on top.

It's coming. Through your back door, and it'll be lubricated with a generous dose of propaganda. And most of the dumbasses in this once great country won't even feel it.

As to your example, if your family business is currently making a profit of 10% of gross sales and your materials are 50% of your gross sales, a 1.25% state tax increase on materials is like taking 6.25% of your profit.

But wait - it gets better. Soon you will have new federal taxes for healthcare, and all the other taxes to pay for Obama's spending orgy.

Oh, and the interest rates on all your variable interest debt is going to go up, too. Way up.

And inflation? You might have 2 or 3 years still before it starts kicking your ***, but when she comes, she'll be a real bitch. That'll cut your standard of living, fo' sho.

Basically, your former profit of 10% of gross sales is about to get cut in half, paid to you in inflated dollars, and on reduced sales volume from year's past.

Can your family get by on 25% - 33% of what you used to make? I didn't think so.

Most you small businesses owners might want to start laying off some of the work force, so your family can stay out of the poorhouse a little longer.

Oh, and all those local banks in your town? Within 10 years, most of them will be owned by the Chinese.

Welcome to Amerika, everyone. Obama style.
