Used to rent those things where I worked. Never got a negative feedback. Chemicals are expensive.

I rented one to clean the hair on Habibi's back some time ago. It worked too well i found 4 small Canadians and a cat in the dirty water and had to rescue them.

So yes they work well 24 bucks homedepot 24hrs rental.

Thanks guys.

I'm actually thinking of purchasing one. We have a condo at the beach along with our house here and pay about $400.00 every year to have them both professionally cleaned, so purchasing one makes a lot of sense.

I had no idea the chemicals were expensive so I'll research that.

Dad and I have a dual tank industrial carpet cleaner we bought 20 years ago... it was an ex rental. We have replaced nearly all of the electrical/mechanical parts in it but it still works great.

I rented one this morning.
The pump was kaput. Called the 1-800 number, they walked me thru several checks and concluded the last renter must have left it running with no water.

Had to take it back and get another.
Pleased with the results and I'm done.

Be careful buying used.
I can see how the pump can be run when it's dry.
You have to watch the spray inside inside tank.
No spray, shut it off.
But people are rough with rental equipment.

I will say I've rented a half dozen times and this is the first problem I've had.

The Food Lion is only two miles away so I'm not going to moan much.

We bought one of the blue ones from their online website and shortly after they came out with larger capacity model. It's a awesome machine and I just use some chemicals from lowes for it I think it's called capture carpet cleaner. works great when you add hot water to the tank.

I rented one a few months ago.

I would suggest going over the floors twice, once with the recommended shampoo and once with just straight water to get out the excess shampoo, my floors look worse now then they did 2 months ago, but this carpet has also been very well used.

I'll bet you can find the cleaners & chemicals online and maybe in bulk cheaper.

What does the part in BOLD mean?

Are you relating its current appearence to the Doctor?
