i wish sergeant crowley would have said to obama" thanx but no thanx " come on.. the professoer and obama are buddys.. what a screwjob on this cop.. i think his superior officers told him he had to go.. you think he really wanted to be there. most people say you cant turn down a presidential invitation. i say yes you can.
By accepting the invitation, and going to the White House, Sgt Crowley showed the World what he is made of. He has taken allot of ridicule, an been examined under scrutiny, but he went there with people he had nothing in common with, and made the best of it.
If he had turned the invitation down, it would have made him look like he had something to hide. He is a good man. He could even advance his career with this publicity. I know, I would use it to my advantage.

There's still something awfully big missing from this little pow wow also, the fact that Obama still hasn't apologized for what he said. If the cop was wrong, the incident should be investigated by internal affairs. If he is found at fault, then he should be disciplined accordingly by his department (or however it works). Obama shouldn't have opened his mouth in the first place. I do respect Crowley for taking the invite though, I don't think I could've done it regardless of whatever label the public and media wanted to put on me. Maybe this will finally die once and for all now.

fortunately this took the attention off of obamas pet projects and health care will remain (for now) the best in the world. stay tuned for these idiots coming back from summer break.
I disagree. I'm with Keith97xlt on this. While it was probably the "right thing to do" in most peoples mind by attending and not allowing his absense to fuel the liberal media fire, Crowley felt he did his job in the manner he was suppose to do it. Why should he have to go to the White House to justify it. Sure if he didn't then he would have been outcast by the black community moreso than he already has.

Point well taken, But ( IMHO ), Crowley was the most respectable person there. He did his job, he defended his Honor. That required his presence there, if he had not accepted the invitation, it would have shown fear.
