I would figure that leaving DC is basically a vacation.
The administration called it one, so ... *shrug*

It's just stupid to criticize the President for taking a "vacation" because he will continue to have his daily briefings, etc.

I know. It's not like the Presidents are are completely removed from civilization while on vacation. Hell, homeless folks have blackberry phones at the soup kitchen.

Well, so much for CHANGE then.

Now, Obama is going to go on vacation while he lets his party destroy America.

PM I like the way you think. The only thing is, that Oldsmobile is a big car, I can think of a lot more they could take with 'em, and I don't think a hunting party of 2 is ever near enough- make it a real party and make sure Cheney has plenty of amunition, don't want to come back to downcast because you didn't get anything!

Isn't Marthas's Vineyard super rich anyway? This will boost business for local businesses? Why not take your vaction to New Orlean's, Cleveland, Detriot or any other one of the many faultering communities that really need local business boosted?

By the way, I have vaction time. I have been using it for the days when my work is really slow and when the boss is conidering cutting people loose. I'm doing my part in a tiny way.

Give the guy a break... I'm sure at least one cent out of his life is paid for by money he earned in a private sector job he once had and last I checked the president gets paid... are they allowed to use money they get paid with?
We don't employ your friends...we do employ Obama

This thread is rediculous. To expect the man not to take a vaction at all!! This is not indicative of his abilities or sucess/failure rate, its a vacation. Bush took vacation after 9/11 and was that a problem? I am a republican and even I am tired of the small issues that some people keep dredging up. With all the howling about this stuff, no one will pay attention when something serious happens. I bet when he farts it stinks too. Damn the man. Less griping and more solutions should be the priority.

My point is that in the big picture ultimately by employing him we are asking him to lead the country by helping it out... if our friends are not employed and are taking vacations they are not helping the country's economy by being employed.

I agree with you tremendously and I'm a democrat. Can't sweat the small stuff, gotta focus on the big stuff... negativity will not help out country get better.
