1. Diet. High protien, low to moderate everything else.
2. Workouts. 2 hours is nuts.
3. Supplements. Good whey protien, good casein protien, good recovery/creatine supplement, good pre-workout supplement and a good multi vitamin.

Alright I've decided on my protein, but I'm still up in the air on what to get for a recovery product. If muscle grows the most inbetween workouts then a recovery product to me makes the most sense. I've decided on optimum 100% Whey Protien because it seems to have very high reviews. As for the recovery product I've been looking at EAS Muscle Armor and I've seen some good reviews. Whats the top product out there for recovery?
I just went and bought some Whey Protein. Still not decided on the recovery. I really think I'll just buy that EAS Muscle Armor and try it out. I'm sure this stuff works different for everyone.
Supplements are just money making sugar pills in bottles.
The only things that are worth buying is creatine and muscle milk.
Also stop working out 2hrs. Work out one group of body parts with heavy weights and as many reps as you can do, even if you can only do 4-6 reps. Don't work out every day, go every other day, muscles need rest more than they do exercise when lifting heavy.

I workout kinda insanely through the week and I enjoy it, I lift vigorously everyday then try to incorporate in some cardio afterwards or sometimes before.. 2 hours is not nuts or insane.. I do that atleast 3-4 days out of the week sometimes - though.. if you have the time you can do what you want, though.. an hour to hour and half is normal, 45 ~ mins liftin, then some light cardio afterwards helps as well for burnin BF.. or 10-15 mins of light cardio before you lift helps you warm up, Not to say doin 2 hours every day is perfectly fine though, but you should alternate how much time you spend in there so you dont get burned out just on vistin the gym and you get good rest, its ok to spend 45mins to hour in there if your vigorous when workin out and not chattin around bull-sh$^in, and doing it atleast 5 days of the week.. esp if your a naturally skinny guy tryin to put on mass you dont have to spend other time doin much cardio if any at all..
Supplements can help but dont waste time and money buyin buyin and buyin expensive crap, you need lots and lots of protien and water, grilled chicken, lean meats, tuna in water, some peanut butter is a cheap helper, fruits, oatmeal, protien powder, etc etc.. if your 160 tryin to put on mass I say you need to take some high calorie protien powder that give you atleast 50-60grams of protien a shake and around 500-800 calories.. something like Cytogainer, would work great, but the main thing is diet diet and diet, not bogus advertisements in magazines, I would suggest gettin some creatine as well, these few things will help you tremendously if you diet is right and you take in enough protien, you weigh at 160 so you might want to take in about 320+ grams of protien a day, which is very easy at your weight.

exactly. creatine is proven to help build muscle.. point blank, there is so many different types of creatine as well, its affordable too, you have to drink much water though. Muscle Milk is great stuff to I loved it, it does work great for a protien powder but you being 160 Id say you might wanna take Cytogainer which is a gainer type of Muscle Milk pretty much,
I i've thought about some treadmill work. Running just sucks terribly getting back into. My pitching coach back in high school always stressed that running is the best way to get rid of soreness. I think he was bsin but he may have been right. We use to have to run like crazy as a pitcher. We'd stay after practice and do foul poles. After every bulpen session you did foul poles. Before every game you'd warm up then while everyone was taking infield you'd do foul poles. It was pretty nuts sometimes but i was in the best shape of my life right then. I wish i didn't stop doing that stuff but i just lost time with college and what not.
Oh btw I'm not really looking to gain weight, unless i'm gaining weight in muscle mass. See i use to be a big kid all thru school until my freshman year and I started slimming down to what I am now 160-170. I've been in that range for about 3 years straight now and that eating what I want. I don't gain weight very easily anymore. Consuming this protein shouldn't gain me weight if I substitute it for say lunch should it?
no, but you can clean bulk or dirty type bulk, if your tryin to stay away from gaining a little bf then try and consume lean type products, your best bet is to eat alot reguardless in helpin grow, it needs to be protiens, some carbs.. if you pick yourself up a muscle and fitness, they have all kinds of information or on their website, its all pretty self explanitory, eat more grow more, you wanna stay at a low BF level well incorporate some cardio in your weekly gym sessions.
I'm a small guy, only about 5'7" tall. January of this year i was around 138 pounds when i started lifting heavily. Today I weighed in at 155. I've gained almost 20 pounds of muscle in a few months. I workout 4-5 days a week, focusing on muscle groups each day and rotating (chest/triceps one day, back/biceps the next day, etc). I do lots of cardio and legs as well.
Its not just about supplements, its about how you eat. I eat at least 4 eggs each morning (only 2 yokes though for cholesterol). Plenty of chicken, protein shakes, and other foods high in protein. You really want to be having at least a gram of protein for every pound you weight daily...that means 150+ grams of protein.
I take whey protein right after workouts, and sometimes in the morning as well. I use Gold Standard 100% Whey. Great stuff. Keep in mind that protein shakes wont be as effective on an empty stomach, so eat something before your shake. Even a big ol' scoop of peanut butter will do, and plus you get the added protein from the peanut butter. I also take NOshotgun MHF-1 30 mins before every workout. Also great stuff, gives you excellent pumps and gets the blood flowing, lots of energy. Lastly I take CE2 Ester Creatine. I take it twice a day, once in the morning and once before I workout. This creatine is great because you dont have to cycle, and it doesn't give you diarrhea like other creatine products too. It is MUCH more effective than Creatine Monohydrate which I have also tried. Stacking the NO product with Creatine has been super effective for me, I highly recommend it. Make sure to drink tons of water when using creatine.
Lastly, find a good buddy to go with you. Workouts are much more effective if you are with somebody. You push each other harder, spot each other, etc.

i took protein and weight gainer from MRI and it was awesome. it tasted great and i got some significant gains. as far as a recovery you can try some stuff called WAR that is made by MRI and it helped alot too. or some creatine also helps a bit in recovery and strength gains, as long as you look at what you are buying. Anabolic switch is good as far as a creatine. if you want gains be sure to eat constantly especially since you are lifting for 2 hours, which is crazy lol but since there are 2 of you it takes a little longer.
o I just finished my first protein shake. They aren't bad, but not something I'd crave for. I threw a scoop of protein in the blender with a banana (for recovery) and some skim milk. I made probably 10-12 oz. I think I might eat an egg now. Idk if I can consume this much food though! Like seriously I'm use to eating like a hot pocket for lunch and a lunchmeat sandwhich for lunch and thats about all I eat anymore all day.
