10,000 Bicycle Riders

Today, RAGBRAI (Registers Annual Bike Ride Across Iowa) goes past my house. Some people look good in those bike shorts.
I left work early to watch the parade.

Where in Iowa do you live? I went to school at Simpson and know a few people riding in it.

I can't imagine 10,000.
I have done Bike Virginia many times and the cutoff is 2,000.
2k descending on our small towns is a load.
The 10k in Iowa would seem like a swarm of locusts, they must be eating the shingles right off your homes.

The first bicyclist went by about 11:00 a.m. I saw some go by at 8:45 last night. It depends how many bars and beer tents are between towns for some of them.
