Talking I Agree With Obama !

He claims his health care plan will bring more "inefficiencies".

I couldn't agree more.

Hey, I agree with Obama too!

A few more of us "hate mongers" agreeing with Obama and we've got a consensus!

This is the most honesty out of the White House in a century!

let me throw some real world numbers at you.

i have a small business, 18 employees, 3mil in sales last year, this year will be more like 2.3 to 2.4.

under the proposed plan, if i opt out, chose not to participate it will cost me from $60k to 68k.

the first thing i will do is call an employee meeting and tell everyone. no bonus, no raises for a while. the last thing i will do in this crappy economy is raise prices, last thing i wont to do is give my customers a reason to go shopping.

it is real simple, raises cost me about $23 to $25k a year. bonuses another $18k. so that is how i plan to pay for it if it happens. most of you will never here this from your employer, but i promise this is the plan.

i think the whole thing is being rushed, most of us when we have a problem, start thinking of way to fix it or make it better. throwing money at a problem can fix the problem, but typically does not.

Thanks for the numbers, Dave.

The way I read it, if you opt out, you will have to pay the government an additional 2.6%+- of your gross sales, over and above what you already pay them.

That's money that you and your employees would normally spend in your local community, stimulating other businesses and keeping other local folks employed.

I'm not sure how you meant this, but from my perspective, it doesn't seem like I'm the one that's being intransigent. I'm extremely conservative - fiscally, socially, religiously. I've never even voted for a Democrat. None. Can't stand to watch CNN, CNBC, MSNBC. However, sometimes FoxNews gets to be a bit too much because of people like **** Morris spewing the conservative party line, no matter the topic. I agree he's been very successful in his political ambitions, but it gets to be a bit much sometimes.

More details have been emerging.

The penalty if you don't provide a 'government approved' healthcare plan will be 8% of a company's payroll.

Basically, if the government does not like the plan you provide, they will consider your company as not in compliance, and you will pay the same 8% penalty as if you don't provide any health care plan.

My prediction is this: Look for many small companies to drop their existing plans and to cut payroll by 8% to cover the new taxes.

OK...

300 Million people

only 46 million without a healthcare plan/ insurance

but 10 million of those 46 million are illegal aliens.

So we have a huge percentage of Americans without insurance? When its really nearer to 10%?

And what does this do to the COST of health care, which is really the issue? Nothing.... in fact the GOA says its going to cost us a Trillion more money in 10 years while only actually insuring an additional 19 million of those people!

And Congress itself... has opted not to join it.

REAL FACTS.
