Looks to me like not a single one these bills has a remote chance of passing, so hiding in fear like it will happen is ridiculous. Outlawing firearms will never happen, so quit worrying about it.

That's uncalled-for. Let's to be fair and say 99.999999999% Obama supporters wants someone to do everything for them.
Personal opinion, but the name calling needs to stop before a mod comes in and just locks the thread.
Fact is, it can happen (loss of gun rights), even with the Second Amendment in place. Granted, here in Canada, we don't have any explicit wording like your Second Amendment, but there's still room for "interpretation". Feds will exploit that to their advantage and turn it to mean what they want it to mean.
I want to move to the US and become able to make decisions for myself. If I had the money to complete the move and get citizenship, I'd be moving tomorrow. I'd love to have the freedom to chose how I defend myself and my family and what tools I buy to assert that freedom. We lost that freedom because the gun owners here said it would "never happen". Well, here we are and it has come to pass.
