Wife just called and said "I think you and the boy should go to the race (pro outdoor mx) this weekend. God I love this woman.

Me and the boy are leaving early tomorrow morning for an 8 hour road trip to Millville, MN. Springcreek MX. Should be a blast! I finally get to see what kind of mileage I'll get on an extended road trip with no trailer.

 

Hmm, why would your wife want you out of town for weekend???

Awesome time! Back at work but need a nap. Probably only had about 10 hours of sleep in 3 days.

Truck did great. Averaged 18.3 mpg. I followed 2 of my buddies home a majority of the way yesterday in their motorhomes. They were running 71 mph. At that speed the Edge showed the highest mpg at 19.5.

 

I went in 97. It was a great time!!

It rained about 2 inches the night before the race so we went out early to "see those guy's try to ride in the mud". To our suprise they were flying thru the muddy track like it was dry!

 

We were there in 06 when it started raining during the 250s and never let up for the 450s. Carmichael lapped the entire field. First and only time that's ever been done in outdoor. Here's a slideshow I found of it on some guys website. It was nuts.

It's insane watching those guys outdoors. We don't even go to supercross races anymore. Outdoors is so much more fun.
