Firefox 3.5- a wreck in the making

If you get a message asking you to upgrade to the newer Firefox 3.5. DON'T. Mine is like everybody elses. It's crashed, it doesn't have full buttons that work at the top, it has few add ons, it won't keep the same theme- you have to turn the theme on every time, it's a freaking mess and now I've lost all of my favorites/bookmarks. That alone is going to take months to get back. So do yerself a favor, DO NOT UPGRADE YER FIREFOX if you are using it. You might also want to visit their forum and read about all of the grossly unhappy folks that have "upgraded" to this abortion.

Mine has prompted me a few times today. Glad I ignored it.

FF sucks. It's all about Opera.

I started with the 3.5 beta now the actual release. Been on it including the beta for about 2 months with not a single issue.

I will deal with a FF issue before I ever return to IE.

Upgraded both machines and have had no issues. However, I do not use any addons or plugins.

Been using 3.5 since before it was called 3.5. Back when it was 3.1.4. No problems at all. No problems with the add-ons I use or crashing.
I suspect Labnerd might have something else on the system causing the problem. Possibly even an add-on.

Something else to try is download the full install version, clear cache, history, and cookies, uninstall Firefox, and then install the full version rather than doing the upgrade.

Mine updates automatically and I have not had a problem except when I close out of it. The window closes but the program is still running so I cannot start a new session with out restarting my computer....Which by the way just started booting up real slow.

I have been on the beta for 2 or 3 months and I just changed to the release version and have not had a single issue. I think you may have some other problem that is causing firefox to act up, or you got a corruption while downloading.

Hit CTRL ALT DELETE and open task manager, go to processes and click on firefox.exe and tell it to end process, once it closes you should be able to start a new session this will keep you from having to restart.

Tried that. Firefox doesn't show up in the process list.
