2008 Ford Taurus

I test drove a 08 Taurus on sat and man what a nice car. It has leather and AWD, rode great, handled great looks great!. I am almost ready to buy one. I have one concern about the AWD system in it. Does it really go through the snow?. Does anyone have one that can tell me. What is the system based on? The dealer really had no idea and i have a long azz driveway to get up in the winter and don't want to buy it if it won't make the climb. I plow the driveway but i am thinking if i come home after a snow fall will it make it up the road. Anybody know this awd system and how it works and how well.

Thanks Jim

Just smash on the gas and hit the driveway doing 20 mph, it'll make it up.

Exactly! When in doubt, throttle it out

The car is for my wife she is a nurse and needs to be able to move through the snow so smashing the gas is not an option here. My driveway is 1400 feet uphill so mashing the gas will not cut it for her.

Now does anyone here know how the AWD works on the tarurs....???
