What SilverFlareSide said. You did it the same way as you did in your signature. You can literally post a picture from any website (as long as this site's fitrewall does not filter it out).

Well if all goes well, I have a new picture to paste under this message. It's a picture of my passenger door sill and theres something missing. One day a couple of weeks ago I opened the door to put my gym bag in and lo and behold, the rubber threshold was missing! Retraced my steps for most of the day before with no luck! Perhaps somebody needed it more than I do? I do try to keep the truck locked most of the time. Well here goes. ennis :-) -:

Don't mind me. I'm trying something different.
What I have done is placed the same picture in my message from that "attachment" feature at the bottom of the Reply form. It was easy to do, as I got it from "browsing" my photo file.

Hey SilverFlareside: How did you get that little picture under your profile? Tx, ennis :-) -:

Talking Its called an avatar

Go to the "user cp" button like you are going to change your sig. Then click the "edit options" button. All the way at the bottom of that page is an option that says "avatar". You can upload an image to use for this, but it has to be 50x50 pixels max. I think the best thing to do is to start out with a big pic and shrink it to fit.

Yeah, after I posted I went to the FAQ's (duh) and learned about the Avatars. I guess the next step is to find a picture that I like, learn how to shrink it and then go from there. Tanx for da help.

I don't think I can thank everyone enough. Learned how to put an avadat in my profile. (Wanted a New England Patriots logo but will keep looking) I have a new question. How do I make the picture smaller without resorting to the thumbnail? TIA, ennis

I changed it to the thumbnail and I can live with that. Please feel free to chime in though if you can answer the question. ennis

fourhour,

I used Microsoft Photo Editor (should be on your computer under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Photo Editor\PHOTOED.EXE)

After you open up your image go to image, then resize then choose a percentage to resize it to. I scan all of my pictures then resize them to about 50% of their original size. If you go under file, properties it will tell you the files size.

If you do not have photo editor pretty much any phot editor will do the same things.

Hope this helps.
