Ya, that whats I was thinking. They (bayliners)look like real boats when they come out of the factory> I have even seen quite a few in the local lakes floating like real boats. They even pull water skiers like real boats. I even saw one being fished out of. Hmmmmmm. Maybe they are real boats.Nahhh, all that is just circumstantial evidence.
There's an aweful lot of sarcasim in here. "Real" meant good quality for those of you slow people out there. Bayliners are like the Kias or Hyundais of the boating industry. They are nice when they are brand new, and they are cheap too, but after a year or 2 of use, they just fall apart. I'll admit, they have improved over the past 5 years, but nonetheless, they are still not anywhere near a Grady White, Boston Whaler, or a Donzi. There are several terrific boats out there. In my opinion, Bayliner is just not one of them.

I will drop it after one last post.Isn't it kia or hyundia that has the best powertrain warranty in the business right now? 10 yr or 100k miles.Maybe I am just taking offense because bayliner is one of the few well paying employers around here that is not related to the wood products industry.
They have one of the best warranties out there, but what good is a warranty if you HAVE to use it all of the time? My wife and I just got rid of her Hyundai (good riddens), and her sister has Kia Spehia, and they hate it. It's garbage. Just speaking of what I have experienced. Who cares if Bayliner pays well...does that automatically mean they make a great vessel? No. I'm sure other boat manufacturers pay well also. Who here would rather have a Bayliner over say a....Maxum? Or a StarCraft over a Donzi? Or even a Trophy (Bayliner) over a Grady White or Boston Whaler?
My dream boat is a 72' Viking Convertible Enclosed Bridge. Can't exactly afford that on right now though.

Hey lariat4wd,
Don't hace a good submission for ya, but a good topic to drink beer over--the BoatUS website (www.boatus.com) has a boat name page that might help. I've got a 22' Boston Whaler Center Console. Maybe we need to get together and hold the first annual F150 rally and Fish'n Tourny. I store and launch my boat down at MacDill (I'm stationed there).

Sounds good. Maybe sometime in late July or something. We're still a little busy getting it "set-up" the way we like it. We usually launch at Bellair Causeway and go out Clearwater Pass to the Gulf.

Cool! Maybe some of the other Tampa area guys will read this and we can all meet someplace central to launch, or like Egmont Key if we want to meet on the water. I'm heading down with my boat to Ft Myers over the 4th to visit the in-laws. Might be heading back to the Keys the last week of July so'll keep an eye out for a good weekend.
