50th Anniversary Edition?
I saw a 97 or 98 F150 with these decals over the "F150" badge on the fenders and the tailgate. Has anyone seen or heard of this before? The reason I am curious is when I bought mine (used), it had scratches above all three F150 badges, like someone had removed them (badly). I just thought they may have been "dealer name" decals that they removed.
Couldn't tell if there were any interior markings because I just saw it while driving down the road.

Thanks Dennis. So '48 was the first year for the F series? Cool!
I'm still curious about mine because of those scratches above the badges. It's titled as a '97, but has a build date of 3/97. I know they started building '97's around mid '96. An interesting note maybe.... Mine had the factory exhaust exiting behind the rear tire. Not in front, like "most" '97's did. Maybe the "late" '97's got the stickers too?

There were a few '97s built in late 95.

If it was built in 3/97 its a 97 as the 98 didn't start getting built until around late July and early August of 97. As far as you exhaust being behind the rear wheel instead of in front like most 97's is because there was a TSB on it to have it moved behind the wheel and the owner before you had that done to it most likely.
