Expressing your political beliefs on an internet forum is just another way to open others' eyes to your way of thinking. Its not useless at all. If through this forum one person changes their mind to my way of thinking, I would consider it worth it.

But if you dont "spread the word," no one else will know about "the word." The internet is a freakin sweet way to contact people and share ideas.

I know what you guys are saying, but I'm a firm believer in doing things that involve actually doing things. If I want something changed or done, I go straight to the source, or try to get to the source as much as possible. I just feel that sometimes these agruements that get started on here do no good, and they fade away with nothing really coming out of it. Its like wasted time. What we should do is have an actual, thought out debate, now that would be more formal, and I think more listening, rather than argueing, will take place. Then again, maybe its my dislike for politics, im too busy trying to feed all your hungry mouths....lol

Once again, just stating my opinion,

Zane

Some one did notice! There are fewer and fewer who appreciate sarcasm.

Some people just read the first sentence and hit reply. I'm probably guilty of that myself sometimes.

I just think that all the energy i see being put into argueing on here, could be put to other uses to help out the individual's cause, like letters and phone calls and petitions and what have you....

Thats my point, discussion/debating is healthy, but not argueing on here.
my opinion...
So, your of the assumption that those of us who engage in the political discussions on this board aren't doing anything more? You assume that I don't call and write my representatives in the house and senate? You assume that I don't go out in public, with others who are concerned with the direction this country has been headed, and express my opinions? You assume that I don't keep track, to the best of my ability, of legislation that goes before the house and the senate? You assume that I don't contact my state and local representatives to express my concern about the sweeping "change" that they are bringing to the tax payers of MA?

This isn't about an "individuals cause". I'm sure that everyone here has their own reason for engaging in political discussions on this board. What ever the reason, what these "arguments" do is give us all a better perspective how our fellow Americans are thinking. It isn't usless at all.

This is about "WE THE PEOPLE"! I'm damn proud that there are some people here that are sticking up for what the founders of this country created. We might not all take the same route, but we are all trying to reach the same destination. Most of the people who are involved in these "arguments" are Americans. Many of us would like for our government to be more in line with how the Constitution frames it. We would like to work for a government that is once again for the people, by the people. You can criticize me for not starting this journey yesterday. Today, I head off in the hopes that tomorrow will be a better day.

There has been a lot accomplished by the discussions on this board. If you are unable to see that, then maybe it's you that is missing something.

What? You DON'T WANT to feed other people?

Neither do many (I dare say, most) of us. That is precisely why we engage in these political threads.

I doubt you'd find any hungry mouths here. Just a bunch of hard working Americans. Oh, and Canadians and a few from various other regions of the world.

Oh, haha, you took that the wrong way. What I meant by that is that I work in the livestock industry and I have many more important things to study other than politics. Like how to maximize production of poultry products to "feed" hungry mouths. I wasnt talking about welfare or what not. And your right, I dont look into these threads a lot because it really doesnt interest me so maybe I really dont know what goes on in them. When I do, it just seems like a bunch of people name calling and people not trying to appreciate what the others have to say......

Here is some more non-political studying for ya...

I'm not sure that you are correct when you say fowl don't fart.

I'm also not sure that politics are unimportant to anyones career. They are an integral part of mine. Who regulates your industry?
