Smile florida

I've been reading this board for around a year now and have been waiting for some owners to start something here in Florida. No such luck though. I know this state is big but if the Texas boys can do it, we should be able to. I live in north central Florida and don't mind driving a little ways to look at some beautiful trucks.

The Florida action has never quite happened. There was one meeting at Biff Burger in St. Pete a couple of years ago. I missed it because a water heater exploded in ne of my rentals. I also have a motorcycle now and spend a lot of my free time riding it to meetings. Not hard to get a buch of bikers together, a rumor will attract hundreds of them.

How about all the "effies" down here in south Florida. Seen quite a few boss trucks cruising around. I've tried in the past to start a get together.

wildchild,

I love the Valk. IMO, it's the 8th wonder of the world. I will not make the Honda Hoot this year but maybe next year. There is a ton of Valkyries down here in Florida so the events here keep me pretty busy. A good bunch of people. How's your Valk doing?

Florida F'ers, another truck gathering at Biff Burgers might be a good idea. Or anywhere else will do. Arcadia, Wachula, Avon Park, Sebring, something kinda central to everyone. Let's see if it works this time.

seacrow: glad to hear your enjoying your new toy so much.sorry too hear you won't make the hoot. but i bet the riding in fla. is pretty good. when i lived there i picked up my new sporty in jan and still rode it every day.
now living in wis i don't get many chances to ride until at least april. although i do try to get out at least once a month.
the valk belongs to my step dad. although i have ridden it. (awesome machine) i have a honda ace 750. can't wait until the tickets go off the record so i can get a bigger bike again.

I saw in the Autotrader that the Fun Ford Weekend event was going to be in Gainesville June 8th to the 10th. And down in Daytona usually a bunch of people meet up with their rides just to hang out on Thursdays but its kind of died down since spring break was over.

F1504U2NV- I was not aware of the Fun Ford Weekend, but I will go by the raceway on Saturday. The only thing I know of is the Truxpo Truck Tour that will be at Daytona from October 5- 7. October is so far away to see some sweet lookin' trucks. Thanks for the info.

Im.Damon.Fla., Glad to see that someone wants to start up an Effie Club. I was looking forward to going to Gainesville but stuff happens. Anyway the Truxpo in Daytona sounds ideal. An aqqauintance went last year, didn't like it cause too few real truck venders. But if we got a good turnout for the show & shine what else could be better?

Boss Lariat, I'm tryin' my hardest on this board and the f150world board to get something happening in Florida. It seems everyone is too busy during the Summer or just not interested. Go figure. I was wondering where is Wellington?

lariat4WD,

Why are you moving to Palmetto? What part are you moving to? I know a lot of people live in Palmetto and cross the Skyway to work in St.Pete, Largo, Clearwater, and Tampa daily. I live off of SR64 and I-75 of exit 41, Palmetto/Ellenton is exit 42. I go through there on my bike all of the time.

Im.Damon.Fla,...Wellington,Fl. is about 15 miles west of West Palm Beach. It is mostly young families and also is a big winter home for northern equestrian enthusists. We have a big Polo facility in town.
Did anyone get a chance to go to Fun Ford Weekend @ Gainesville yet?
I'm counting down the days til my Magnachrger arrives. Can't wait!
