Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the push-in type fasteners between the grill shell and the filler panel? And are these fasteners reusable?

Jeffbert, hello from Mattbert, LOL.
The best way I know of is with a tool I bought from JCWhitney for exactly that function and yes, if removed properly they can be reused. If you don't have that tool (and I don't recall what its called... just that I saw it and it was the function I was looking for) I had used the old two-screwdriver method before that. One on either side, pull towards yourself. Wear gogles to prevent snap-in fasteners from fastening themselves into your eye socket, LOL.

Hi,
I just used a pair of pliers to pinch the clip from behind as I had someone else pull the grille out.
