Mark Martin WINS!!!!
Cincinnati to Sparta, KY is 49.12 miles per map quest.
Louisville to Sparta, KY is 61.06 mile per map quest.
How is that closer?
Picking on the Rockpick. My wife's family lives in Cincinnati and twice a year I have to drive to Cinci and back to MS. I drive by the empty track and think what a shame to have such a nice facility sitting there without a NASCAR race.

Ehh... downtown or something.... hehehe... from my place, it's closer to 45 miles.
You're right though... great track. The legislators here have even gone after the Nascar folks with tax incentives and all kinds of 'perks' to get them to come here -- somehow, it still gets overlooked.
Kentucky will have a Nascar race within two years. Bruton Smith the new owner said on the Nationwide Pre-race show that once the original owners appeal is finalized, he and Nascar will move forward with getting a race to Kentucky. He even said he will move a race from one of his other tracks if necessary.
He currently owns eight tracks and host eleven Sprint cup races. He later founded Speedway Motorsports, Inc. (SMI), which owns eight NASCAR tracks that host eleven NASCAR Sprint Cup events. [1] Speedway Motorsports owns Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Infineon Raceway, Kentucky Speedway,.[6] Las Vegas Motor Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway,[7] and Texas Motor Speedway. I highly doubht that Pocono will ever leave the Mattioli family. I like Pocono, much better than Vegas, Kansas, Texas, Chicago, N.H..
MM won. Who cares who led the most laps. MM was superior because he took the checkered flag first. Everyone who has half a brain knows Michigan is a fuel economy track. It ends up that way more times than not. JJ and Biffle made a bad move racing like they did to run out of fuel because MM ran out just before the line. They both could have made it. Stupid.
I think we all agree that it was nice for MM to win, but IMO he wasn't the superior driver, if he was has would have been right up there battling for 1st not just running in third and saying to himself I'll hang here and finish in the top 5..
As for leading the most laps, I think every driver will say that just as important as winning the race.. Because the longer you stay out front the more points you get.. So they guys that keep running out front without winning races, they still seem to make the chase..
The one other thing I like about Martin is he doesn't do that BURNOUT crap that EVERYONE else does when they win... He doesn't need to showoff like that.. That is a classy move...
