Try this out:

Works great - nice deep sleep. Google ZMA for more info.

"Another benefit is better sleep. ZMA should be taken 30 - 60 minutes before bed. Most people notice they can fall asleep deeper and then sleep more deeply. Don't be surprised if you start having very vivid dreams while taking ZMA!"

Go to any place that sells vitamins like Walmart or a pharmacy and get you some Melatonin. Do not take more than 50mg dose and less is better so look at the amount in the pill before buying. I'd recommend 10mg. It is a naturally produced hormone that sets your biological clock to know when it's time to go beddy bye. My brother has the same problem and he can't sleep but maybe 3 hours a day at odd hours unless he takes this.

Eat a turkey sandwich - the tryptophan will make you drowsy.

ahh, zma. i looked into that once. never actually tried it. didn't go to that website but ive heard it ups your sex drive. something to do with how it reacts to or corresponds with test levels.

i'm pretty sure the GNC mega man multivitamin has zma. just looked it up, it at least has the components that make up zma. don't know how that works though.

--edit--

nope, different forms of the essential parts of zma. GNC does sell it in pill form though. either one will be good for you though.

I've been having trouble for quite some time. Didn't wanna do it, but Dr. put me on the "A train." meaning Ambien. Pharmacy fills w/generic Zolpidem I think. I'm only taking 5mg tablet and works at turning my brain off. No problems waking nor side effects. Sleep is VERY important and lack of it will cause bad things. Don't ask me how I know.

Better yet two beers and a turkey sandwich. I will take Tylenol PM if I am having trouble getting to sleep.

Hello guys! I took some melatonin for awhile and it does work pretty good. But my body got used to it quick I could only take it about every 4 days to get the full effect.

Turkey does put me down but I wont sleep but about 30 mins afterwards.

Just like the formentioned I have a hard time turning off my brain. I sit and think alot when im laying down, just about all kinda stuff. Ill look into the other things listed! Thanks!

I've done the melatonin thing,,worked (i think), but I think my body got used to it to quick. When it became real bad I did the tylenol pm thing, but all that did was make me tired from the waste up. Started having real bad RLS problems. After about a week of little to no sleep it lead to me almost doing something REAL STUPID. I to have the problem of trying to get my mind to slow down. The generic Ambien helped immensely!!!

On a side note: I didn't have any of these problems when I was 30 lbs. lighter and getting to the gym a couple days a week. Just working and chasing two kids around is not "working out" per-se, just creates more stress. Good luck to you sir.
